May 13, 2018 · Or druids need the ability to xmog fist weapons (at least the bear paws) over a 2H weapon. There’s other fist weapons that would be fitting as guardian or feral weapons. It’s not like the weapons have to be 2H in order to match the attack animations.

Currently on alpha, druids must have a dagger equipped to xmog into the feral cat forms and a fist weapon for guardian bear form. This is a problem because feral and guardians are going to use 2H’ers again. Please do not attach these xmogs to the weapon we are using.

Jun 08, 2018 · UPDATED NOTE: SOME OF THIS HAS CHANGED IN THE LATEST BUILD. Now that the character copy is live on the Battle for Azeroth beta test, I thought we would take a look at how artifact weapon transmog
The form is still linked to your artifact weapon and so your weapon will appear as the claws or daggers (based on spec) regardless of what weapon you have equipped. (ex – your equipped polearm would still turn into the dual daggers).
However, being bound to a weapon type is really sucky. Especially when you’re unlikely to go for those weapon types post-Legion.
Artifact skins still attached to weapon in BFA Druid In BfA you will not have the artifact weapons, so you you can’t do this. Look at the forms as an extension of the weapon, like how you can’t just transmog a sword hilt without the blade – it’s the whole weapon or nothing.
And you can’t say «just make them class wide, but keep them weapon restricted» because of the druid forms mainly, and other classes in general where they had an artifact weapon type that isn’t really used by them now that weapon drops are back.
