Now streaming on Netflix, Gerald’s Game is the latest Stephen King novel to receive a feature film adaptation, and while I probably won’t find myself ever revisiting this movie, it’s worth a watch
Because Gerald’s Game isn’t just a great King adaptation (it’s not too hard to be great among such a hit and miss list), but it’s just a great movie period, well-made, beautifully-shot, and Gugino is not getting the credit she deserves as an actress, simple as that.
Gerald’s Game is the best King adaptation to come along in quite some time, and it’s an incredibly intense film that announces Flanagan’s work as a director is only improving with each film
